Historical Background
Lowveld Academy (LA) opened its doors on 15 January 2015 with 17 learners.
The Hoedspruit community did not have a Secondary school. LA was established to serve the community and the surrounding rural areas with quality education.
Since 2015, LA has grown to be a school of excellence with 272 students (in 2020) and continues to grow.
LA had our first matric group (Gr 12) matriculated in 2018.
LA uses modern technology to support educators and students.
LA provides an opportunity for our students to participate in Drama, Chess, Eisteddfod, Visual Arts, Science Club, Agricultural Science Club, Music, Choir, Soccer, Netball, 7's Rugby, Athletics and various other activities.

To provide academic instruction to prepare a learner for a worthy and meaningful position in the community.
Each learner must be known and instructed individually to develop to his/her full potential.

Lowveld Academy is a Christian based school. The school however will not in any way discriminate against any religion or believe whatsoever.
